Dr. April Douglas grew up in Mammoth Lakes, CA, where she was raised in fresh air and sports. Dr. Douglas competed in and tried almost every sport that the tiny town could offer, which is where she found her appreciation for the body and its ability to heal. She continued on to college at San Diego State University, where she double-majored in Psychology and Kinesiology. There she ran the SDSU Ski and Snowboard team and continued to compete in one of her passions.
Dr. Douglas started her career in Physical Therapy after obtaining her doctorate at University of St. Augustine in 2009. She specialized in Orthopedics and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. She has been Adjunct Faculty for University of St. Augustine in their doctorate program and also for Mesa College in their Physical Therapy Assistant Program. She obtained board specialization in Orthopedics and completed all coursework for Pelvic Floor via Herman and Wallace.
She started several programs within private clinics and the US Navy to assist with better care for the pregnant and postpartum mothers as well as the orthopedic population. For more than two years, Dr. Douglas worked at the U.S. Navy’s Naval Amphibious Base, which allowed her to work with some of our finest athletes and special op forces (SOF), including Navy SEALs, EOD, and SWCC. She worked on research to bring more awareness of pelvic floor dysfunction in the orthopedic patient.
She treats efficiently and with a wholesome approach for a quicker pathway to optimal function. With My PT 2 Go, her goal is to bring the best level of care to her patients without the restrictions of insurance.

Dr. April Bronowksi, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist
Specialist in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
Adjunct Faculty, Hawaii Pacific University
Dr. April Bronowski claims San Diego as her home but grew up all over as her father was in the U.S. Navy. Her interest in physical therapy started in high school when her grandmother had a stroke limiting her physical mobility. She learned exercises and transfers from her grandmother's home physical therapist. She decided to major in Kinesiology at San Diego State University and eventually graduated from University of St. Augustine with her doctorate degree in 2011.
She started her career in Bakersfield, CA at a small physical therapy outpatient clinic but moved to Hawaii a year later. She spent a majority of her career on Oahu, living there for 10 years, working in orthopedics and pelvic health physical therapy specifically with the active duty military, their dependents and retirees at Hickam Air Force Base and Tripler Army Medical Center. Her husband joined the U.S. Navy in 2023 and luckily San Diego, home for April, was his first duty station.
When April is not working, she loves to spend time with her husband, 2 children, and their dog, Milo. When she does have time, she loves to do yoga, pilates, hiking, and anything with television and movies.
“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold or silver.”
